Can you help with a FHIR Implementation Guide for Intra-Procedural Anaesthesia Records?
HL7 UK members are great at supporting each other with their interoperability challenges. Could you help with this specific request, or would like to know more about the work underway?
Longstanding HL7 UK member Martin Hurrell and Grant Forrest are working on the development of a FHIR Implementation Guide for Intra-Procedural Anaesthesia Records. Their contributions in this area are also part of a wider set initiatives of the UK Society for Computing and Technology in Anaesthesia.
The Implementation Guide will be informed by the HL7 Domain Analysis Model: Intra-Procedure Anaesthesia, Release 1 and will reference the existing FHIR Point-of-Care Device Implementation Guide for detailed guidance on the representation of data from patient-connected devices. For more information about the project see the Anaesthesia IG Project page and associated Project Plan.
Are you interested in sharing your thoughts and experiences to aid this vital work? If so, please visit the dedicated Zulip channel (https://chat.fhir.org/#channels/551632/Anesthesia.20IG/general), which Martin and Grant are using to post updates and where others can post material and add comments.
HL7 International are also in the process of operationalising a new Health Devices Accelerator where there may still be an opportunity to become a founding member if of interest, see Becoming A Founding Member.
