UK Core Implementation Guide 1.0.0 – STU1
The UK Core Implementation Guide aims to provide UK wide FHIR implementation guidance that has applicability across jurisdictions and care settings.
It is based on FHIR Release 4 and gives extra guidance about applying FHIR in a UK context.
This includes:
- FHIR Resource profiles and extensions
- FHIR Terminology components including ValueSets and CodeSystems
- Other general guidance useful to FHIR implementers in the UK
The latest version of the standard (v1.0.0 STU1) can be found here.
The material is suitable for trial use, and is subject to ongoing updates and formal ballots. See confluence for details here.
Standard for the Use of HL7 Version 2 in the UK (HL72UK)
This standard specifies a UK profile for HL7 version 2 to which UK implementations of the standard shall conform. The normative content of the document is supported by Implementation Guidance and Examples that provide practical help in implementing the standard.
The standard has been motivated by the need to address the particular needs of UK-based healthcare systems that are not specifically addressed by the HL7 Version 2 standard and the need to implement certain HL7 features in a standard way in the UK.
The latest version of the standard (vA.3) can be found here.
