HL7.org Ballots

Please note that under current naming conventions, ballots are named according to the month following a ballot in which the Working Group Meeting runs. This means that even though a ballot may run through August/September, it will be called the September Ballot cycle because the WGM at which the ballot is dealt with takes place in September.

Voting

  1. Login to HL7.org via the HL7 UK website and select "Online Balloting" from Members Only column.
  2. Select the link to the Ballot Desktop to get to the ballots home page. On the right hand side of this page is a column labelled Cmnt. In this column is a WinZip icon and clicking on it will download the full set of ballot spreadsheets.

The spreadsheets all follow the same format and contain instructions for completion. It is much easier if you use these spreadsheets to submit comments.

All voting from members of HL7 UK must be done via one or more of the eight votes allocated to the UK and managed by the TC chair.

There are two steps to take:

  1. If you think you might wish to comment on a ballot either now OR IN A FUTURE BALLOT CYCLE for a particular document we have to register our interest by 22 August 2008. Use this email link to register. If subsequently you have no comments to offer this is not a problem, but if you don’t register your interest in time you will not be able to make any comments now or in subsequent ballots.
  2. Once you have comments use this email link to submit them. Balloting comments must be received by 5 September 2008 to give time for processing
