“Making the eHealth Connection” is an invitation only set of workshops being led by the Rockefeller Foundation. While the invitation list is closed, much of the material will be openly available, and it promises to make interesting reading.

"What is This Conference?
Making the eHealth Connection: Global Partnerships, Local Solutions is a month-long conference series at the Rockefeller Foundation's Bellagio Center in Bellagio, Italy. It takes place from July 13 to August 8, 2008. eHealth is defined as the use of information and communications technology to improve the performance of health systems and represents a promising frontier."

"Our Goals
For stakeholders from the Global South, the conference is designed to provide answers to key eHealth issues and encourage investment commitments and build consensus about how to use eHealth to improving the access, efficiency and quality of health services, particularly in low-resource settings. Outcomes from the conference will inform both national and international eHealth agendas."
