HL7 helps with PACS

A recent article in Medical Technology Business Europe describes the challenges of PACS/RIS/HIS Integration throughout Europe. HL7 and HL7UK are the best places to address this complexity and make it tractable in a concerted way. There is active collaboration between HL7 and DICOM to help address this space. There are real economies to be achieved by working on this together in the framework provided by HL7UK, using the working meetings to share implementation experiences and to define UK and international profiles that are realistic and useful
